Table Tennis Board for Visually Impaired Students

On July 6, 2025, The Rotary Club of Yala handed over a Table Tennis board specially designed for visually impaired students to the Disable Service Association, Bungamati, Lalitpur, aiming to promote sports and recreational opportunities for visually impaired students.
The board, worth Rs.55,000, was generously supported by Rtn. Padam Krishna Shrestha and Rtn Urmila Shrestha of the Club. Chief Coach Kumar Poudel conducted a demonstration on how Table Tennis is played by visually impaired players.
In addition to the equipment, a one-month Table Tennis training program by a professional trainer of Nepal Table Tennis Association will also be arranged. The training cost of Rs.15,000 has also been kindly borne by Rtn. Padam Krishna Shrestha.
The handover program was graced by the presence of national blind Table Tennis player Shiva Agrawal and chief coach Kumar Poudel, who shared their experiences and encouraged the participants. Rotarians and Anns of the Rotary Club of Yala were also present at the event, showing their collective support for this meaningful initiative.
This initiative stands as a testament to Rotary Club of Yala’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment through sports.
