Talk Program on Rotary Membership
On 15th August 2025, Rotary Club of Yala held its Weekly Meeting No. 1474 at Hotel Goodwill, Lalitpur, where PP Rtn. Er. Surendra Govinda Joshi delivered a presentation on “Membership” in line with Rotary’s August theme, Membership and New Club Development.
He highlighted that Rotary offers much more than social service it contributes to personal growth, leadership, networking, business and skill development, public speaking, global fellowship, support during times of trouble, opportunities for continuing education, and fun with family and friends.
He stressed that every member should be provided with opportunities to be actively involved in Club activities, which is key to long-term retention.
He also encouraged all members to invite their relatives and friends to join Rotary, sharing with them the vast range of benefits one can experience as a Rotarian.
It was informed that the Global Grant on “Daughters for Mothers – Improving Cervical Cancer Screening and HPV Awareness Campaign,” in collaboration with the international partner Rotary Club of Berlin-Brandenburger Tor, amounting to USD 36,000, is in the process of finalization.
