Donation for Kartik Naach

Rotary Club of Yala is proud to have donated Rs. 16,000 to the Kartik Naach Preservation Committee, which organized the 10-day-long (27th October to 5th November 2025) KARTIK NAACH, a renowned historical, traditional, and cultural dance of Lalitpur, at Kati Dabu, Patan Durbar Square, Mangalbazar. Kartik Naach is one of the oldest traditional dances of Nepal and an intangible heritage that has been performed since Nepal Sambat 761 (BS 1697) during the reign of King Siddhi Narsingh Malla. Performed annually in the courtyards of Patan Durbar Square, this sacred dance-drama enacts stories of Lord Vishnu’s incarnations and celebrates the triumph of good over evil. This contribution reflects RC Yala’s dedication to preserving Nepal’s rich traditions and living cultural heritage.
