World Cancer Day

On 4th February 2026, on the occasion of World Cancer Day (4th February), a program was organized with a candlelight ceremony, speeches by expert doctors, and experience-sharing by cancer survivors at the premises of Nepal Cancer Hospital, Harisiddhi. The slogan of the Day “United by Unique” reminds us that together, despite our differences, we can make a strong impact in the fight against cancer.

The program was jointly organized by Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Rotary Club of Yala, and other organizations.

The message of the event emphasized that cancer can be a curable disease if diagnosed early and treated promptly. Patients were encouraged not to lose confidence and to continue fighting against cancer with courage and determination. Moreover, complete cancer treatment is possible in Nepal, as modern medical facilities are available here.
