Joint Rotary Club Tree Plantation

In alignment with RI District 3292’s ambitious initiative to plant 50,000 trees in a single day as part of Rotary Tree Plantation Day 2025, under the theme “Let’s Unite to Save the Environment”, a successful joint tree plantation program was organized by five clubs named Rotary Club of Yala, Rotary Club of Patan, Rotary Club of Balaju, Rotary Club of Kathmandu and Rotary Club of Bagmati Kathmandu on July 26 at Kirat Ban, Sano Hattiban, Lalitpur.
More than 80 enthusiastic participants from five Rotary Clubs came together to contribute to this green mission, planting over 650 native tree saplings along with 500 vertiver and 500 Kush grass nursery using the Japanese Miyawaki afforestation technique.
This initiative was successfully carried out with the support of the Division Forest Office, Kirat Manghim Working Committee, and Ward No. 23 of LMC.
A total of 21 members from the Rotary Club of Yala proudly participated in the tree plantation program, demonstrating the club’s strong community spirit and commitment to environmental sustainability.
This collaborative effort not only supports the global Rotary goal of protecting the environment but also strengthens inter-club fellowship through impactful and sustainable action.
With the objective to engage local community and to address the long-term sustainability of the trees planted today, regular watering, weed control, maintenance, and growth monitoring will be jointly taken care by the Division Forest Office and Kirat Manghim WC.
