Health Camp

As a part of service project towards social responsibility on 22nd November 2025, the Rotary Clubs of Yala, Hetauda, and Makwanpur jointly organized a comprehensive health camp focused on cancer awareness and screening. The services provided in the health camp included gallbladder examinations, cervical and breast cancer test (VIA), prostate screenings, video X-ray services and general health checkups along with free medicine distribution.
The camp was conducted at Sahid Rudra Smriti Community Health Post, Makranchhuli, Makwanpurgadhi Rural Municipalty-4, with the aim of promoting early detection and improving community health facilities with medical support from Silverline Hospital, Kathmandu.
A total of 160 people underwent cervical cancer screening, among whom four were found to have positive symptoms and were referred for further treatment. Additionally, 70 people were screened for prostate disease, and 97 received video X-ray services. Overall, 320 residents of the village benefited from the health checkups.
Besides, Dr. Ishan Malla and Dr. Animesh Joshi, delivered awareness talks on prostate health, orthopedics, and cancer detection and treatment. Local residents listened with great interest and raised many of the issues they are facing. They expressed satisfaction with the valuable information and thanked organizers for bringing a medical team to the village to provide a range of health services.
A total of 18 Rotarians and Anns from RC Yala actively participated in the program which was supported by Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Upacharka Lagi Sahayogi Haatharu and the local program organizer Jagaran Saving and Credit Cooperatives Ltd.
The health camp reflected Rotary’s mission of serving communities through humanitarian efforts and promoting better access to essential health services.
