Support to Disabled Service Association
On 19 January 2025, the Rotary Club of Yala, in coordination with the Anns Group, distributed 10 dozen exercise copies, Braille paper, and food items worth NPR 25,300 to the Disabled Service Association, Bungamati, Lalitpur, as part of the Club’s service program focused on assisting persons with disabilities.
RC Yala has been supporting the Association every year through various forms of assistance, helping it fulfill its objective of empowering children with disabilities by providing their basic needs such as food and shelter, education, and health care.
Established in 2054 B.S., the Association currently serves 82 persons with disabilities and provides coaching for Grades 1 to 10 along with vocational training.
The program was attended by Club President Rtn. Om Shanker Shrestha, Ann Radha Shrestha, Rtn. Jitendra Nakrmi, Rtn Shobha Shrestha, Ann Nirmala Shrestha, Ann Minu Pradhan, Ann Gyanu Nakami and Ann Bhabani Shrestha.
This initiative reflects RC Yala’s mission of service above self by continuing to support and empower children with disabilities through meaningful interventions.
