1499th Regular Meeting

The 1499th (32nd of RY 2025–26) Regular Meeting of the Rotary Club of Yala was held online via Google Meet on 21st February 2026. The meeting focused on the two impactful service projects carried out during the week by the Club.
a. The distribution of school bags (78 pcs), notebooks (500 pcs), drawing copies (30 pcs), alphabet books (30 pcs), pencil sets (30), dot pens (150 pcs), footballs (2), volleyballs (2), a hand pump (1), slides (2), a horse chair (1), carrom boards (2), clothes (20 bags), and food items (biscuits and chowmein) was carried out for the students of Janata Adharbhut Primary School, Rampur–11, Surunga Nagarpalika, Saptari (Rajbiraj) on 16th February 2026.
The total cost of the initiative was approximately Rs. 1,35,000, excluding the cost of clothes.
b. Hand over of bio-sand filtration units to the mayor of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality on 17th February which will be installed in 30 community schools within the municipality ensuring clean and safe drinking water for thousands of children.
The handover was conducted amid an Interaction and Discussion Program held at the Mayor’s Office, with the attendance of more than 70 distinguished and respected individuals. The installation process is expected to be completed within one month.
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of: Rotary Club of Jindalee (Australia), Rotary Club of Yala (Nepal), Rotary International District 3292, Diktel Municipality and Best Paani Nepal. The Total cost of project is Rs 10 lakhs.
