5th Club Assembly
The 5th Club Assembly of the Rotary Club of Yala was held on 30 January 2026 at Hotel Goodwill to present updates on the Club’s progress against planned activities and to review ongoing and upcoming plans. The purpose of the assembly was to assess performance carried out so far, strengthen coordination among members, and ensure timely and effective implementation of the Club’s remaining goals.
The meeting was conducted by the Chief Guest, Assistant Governor Rtn. Naresh Man Tuladhar.
Presentations on goals and achievements to date were delivered by the respective standing committees’ chair/member: Rtn. Rina Shrestha (Member, Club Administration), Rtn. Sanjay Shrestha (Chair, Membership), Rtn. Om Krishna Shrestha (Chair, TRF), Rtn. Dinesh Lal Shrestha (Chair, Service Projects), and Rtn. Minu Pradhan Shrestha (Chair, Public Image).
AG Rtn Tuladhar commended the Club for its contribution of US$ 5,625 to TRF against a target of US$ 5,500, which is well above the target set by District 3292. He emphasized that the Club should move forward by setting higher goals in the areas of TRF and service projects, considering the available time as well as the Club’s capacity and potential.
He stated that classification talks should be conducted regularly, with members also sharing insights on relevant and current topics. He emphasized the need for the Club to induct young members to help reduce the average age of the membership. He further reminded that the District’s target for all clubs to add at least one new member in addition to the membership count at the beginning of the Rotary year. He appreciated the Club’s upcoming Global Grant project on cancer awareness and screening tests and suggested that, in addition to fundraising by members, the Club should also launch external fundraising programs to support the project.
He noted that with continued effort, the Club has strong potential to secure a good position at the award function, as its overall performance is very satisfactory and above the target level.
Regular Meeting No. 1496 of the Club was held following the 5th Club Assembly. The meeting was chaired by the Club President, Rtn. Om Shanker Shrestha, who expressed sincere gratitude to Assistant Governor Rtn. Naresh Man Tuladhar for his inspiring remarks and valuable guidance and also thanked the committee chairs for their sound and well-prepared presentations.
