Distribution of Warm Blankets
On 1st February 2026, as part of its service project to support needy people and in continuation of one of its signature initiatives, Rotary Club of Yala, in association with Rotaract Club of Yala, distributed warm blankets to 105 students of Dapcha Secondary School, Namobuddha Municipality- 8, Kavre. The support also included stationery items such as exercise copies and pencils, caps along with financial assistance for students’ tiffin expenses. The Rotary Club of Yala provided financial support of Rs. 41,000 for this meaningful initiative.
The school currently has 105 students, most of whom come from underprivileged and marginalized local communities. The students were delighted to receive the support items, which brought visible joy and encouragement among them.
The president of SMC expressed his sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Yala and the Rotaract Club of Yala for the generous program, noting that it would help retain students and increase student enrollment.
On the following day (2nd February), warm blankets were distributed to 25 homeless individuals residing along the roads in the vicinity of Batuk Bhairab Temple, Lagankhel.
This service activity reflects the Club’s continued commitment to Service Above Self by supporting the education and well-being of children and homeless person
