MOU with Kitini Secondary School for Coding, AI & Robitics

In its ongoing effort to bridge the digital divide, the Rotary Club of Yala today signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kitini Secondary School and Dursikshya Education Network. This agreement launches a year-long introductory course in Coding, AI, and Robotics for 30 students in grades 6 to 8. Marking the third consecutive year of RC Yala’s partnership with the school in Taukhel, Godawari, this initiative stands as a cornerstone of their mission to democratize 21st-century digital literacy in public education.
For public school students—particularly those from marginalized backgrounds—this program is far more than just an extracurricular activity. It represents a fundamental shift in their educational trajectory. By bringing this advanced curriculum into a public school setting, the initiative levels the playing field, giving these students the same competitive edge, confidence, and future career opportunities as their private-school peers.
