Club’s RWM No. 1517 (50th of RY 2025/26) / Charter Day Celebration
The Regular Weekly Meeting No. 1517, the final meeting of Rotary Year 2025–26 of RC Yala was held on 28 June 2026 at Ridi Lounge, Jawalakhel, together with the Club’s 30th Charter Day Celebration.
Past President Rtn. Surendra Govinda Joshi highlighted the history of the Club’s Charter Day and reflected on the Club’s journey over the past 30 years. He recalled the invaluable contributions of the Charter President, Late Dr. Kedar Lal Shrestha, whose dedication laid a strong foundation for the Club’s growth and service. Stressing the essence of Rotary, he encouraged every Rotarian to actively engage in service projects in line with Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self.”
President Rtn. Om Shanker Shrestha expressed his sincere gratitude to all Rotarians, Board Members, Anns, and well-wishers for their unwavering support, cooperation, encouragement and active participation throughout Rotary Year 2025–26, which made his tenure a successful and memorable one. He remarked that serving as the President of Rotary Club of Yala had been a truly memorable and rewarding journey, filled with meaningful service, fellowship and shared achievements.
He proudly shared that Rotary Club of Yala received 10 District Awards, including Best President – Region III, Winner – Promoting Peace, and several other awards & recognitions for the Club’s outstanding service and achievements during the Rotary year. He dedicated these accomplishments to the collective efforts and commitment of the entire Club.
As a token of appreciation and gratitude, President presented Tokens of Love to the Charter Members, Board Members, Rotarians and Anns in recognition of their invaluable support, dedication, and contributions throughout the year.
