Club’s RWM No. 1510 / Visit to the National Museum

The Regular Club Meeting No. 1510 (43 of RY 2025/26) of the Rotary Club of Yala was held on 8th May 2026 at the National Museum, Chhauni, Kathmandu.

During the meeting Information regarding Rotary symposium on “Sustainable Urban Health: Walking-Cycling-Public Transit” scheduled for 16th May, 2026 at Hotel Aranya, was shared.

The meeting was convened at a new venue with a refreshing atmosphere, with the objective of providing members an opportunity to visit the National Museum and enhance their knowledge and understanding of Nepal’s rich history, culture, archaeology, art, and heritage.

Following the meeting and lunch, a guided tour of the National Museum was arranged. The museum visit enabled members to observe valuable historical artifacts, ancient sculptures, traditional metal, wood, and stone artworks, archelogy, ancient coins, historical documents, traditional paintings, religious idols, ancient manuscripts, and arsenals and weapons used during different periods, along with various cultural exhibits preserved at the museum.

A brief cordial meeting with the Chief of the National Museum, Ms. Aruna Nakarmi, was held. The Club expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Nakarmi for her cooperation and support during the museum tour.

A total of 26 persons, including club members and Anns participated in the tour program.
